1. Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa

The painting, thought to be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo, is in oil on a white Lombardy poplar panel, and is believed to have been painted between 1503 and 1506. Leonardo may have continued working on it as late as 1517. It was acquired by King Francis I of France and is now the property of the French Republic, on permanent display at the Louvre Museum in Paris since 1797.

2. Jan van Eyck’s Adoration Of The Mystic Lamb

The Ghent Altarpiece (also called the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb or The Lamb of God, Dutch: Het Lam Gods) is a very large and complex early 15th-century Early Flemish polyptych panel painting. The altarpiece comprises 12 panels, eight of which are hinged shutters. Each wing is painted on either side, giving two distinct views depending on whether they are open or closed.

3. Rembrandt van Rijn’s The Night Watch

The Night Watch (Dutch: De Nachtwacht), is a 1642 painting by Rembrandt van Rijn. It is in the collection of the Amsterdam Museum but is prominently displayed in the Rijksmuseum as the best known painting in its collection. The Night Watch is one of the most famous Dutch Golden Age paintings.

4. Ludvig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 (Original Manuscript)

The Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68, also known as the Pastoral Symphony (German Pastoral-Sinfonie), is a symphony composed by Ludwig van Beethoven, and completed in 1808. One of Beethoven's few works containing explicitly programmatic content, the symphony was first performed in the Theater an der Wien on 22 December 1808 in a four-hour concert.

5. Johannes Vermeer’s The Astronomer

The Astronomer is a painting finished in about 1668 by the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. It is oil on canvas, 51 cm x 45 cm (20 x 18 in), and is on display at the Louvre, Paris.

6. The Reliquary Bust Of Charlemagne

The Bust of Charlemagne (de: Karlsbüste) is a reliquary in the form of the bust of Charlemagne made around 1350, which contains the king's skullcap. The reliquary is part of the Late Medieval treasure kept in the Aachen Cathedral Treasury. The bust is one of the most significant examples of Gothic goldwork and the best-known example of a reliquary bust anywhere. The reliquary is an idealised image, not an actual portrait of Charlemagne.

7. Michelangelo’s Madonna And Child

The Madonna of Bruges is a marble sculpture by Michelangelo of Mary with the Child Jesus.
Michelangelo's depiction of the Madonna and Child differs significantly from earlier representations of the same subject, which tended to feature a pious Virgin smiling down on an infant held in her arms. Instead, Jesus stands upright, almost unsupported, only loosely restrained by Mary's left hand, and appears to be about to step away from his mother. Meanwhile, Mary does not cling to her son or even look at him, but gazes down and away. It is believed the work was originally intended for an altar piece. If this is so, then it would have been displayed facing slightly to the right and looking down.

8. Leonardo da Vinci’s Lady With An Ermine

Lady with an Ermine is a painting by Leonardo da Vinci from around 1489–1490. The subject of the portrait is Cecilia Gallerani, and painted at a time when she was the mistress of Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan, and Leonardo was in the service of the Duke. The painting is one of only four portraits of women painted by Leonardo, the others being the Mona Lisa, the portrait of Ginevra de' Benci, and La belle ferronnière. It is currently being displayed at Wawel Royal Castle whilst renovations are being carried out at the painting's home, Czartoryski Museum, Kraków, Poland.

9. Benvenuto Cellini’s Saliera

The Cellini Salt Cellar (in Vienna called the Saliera, Italian for salt cellar) is a part-enamelled gold table sculpture by Benvenuto Cellini. It was completed in 1543 for Francis I of France, from models that had been prepared many years earlier for Cardinal Ippolito d'Este. The Cellini Salt Cellar depicts a male figure representing the sea and a female figure that represents the earth. A small vessel meant to hold salt is placed next to the male figure. A temple-shaped box for pepper is placed next to the female figure.

10. Sandro Botticelli’s The Birth Of Venus

The Birth of Venus is a painting by Sandro Botticelli generally thought to have been painted in the mid 1480s. It has long been suggested that Botticelli was commissioned to paint the work by the Medici family of Florence, specifically Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de' Medici under the influence of his cousin Lorenzo de' Medici, close patron to Botticelli. However, there are no documents associated with the painting, and its first identification with the Medici family only comes in the 1550 edition of Vasari's Lives. It depicts the goddess Venus, having emerged from the sea as an adult woman, arriving at the shore (which is related to the Venus Anadyomene motif). The painting is on display at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.

 11. Frescoes Of Camposanto Monumentale

The Campo Santo, also known as Camposanto Monumentale ("monumental cemetery") or Camposanto Vecchio ("old cemetery"), is a historical edifice at the northern edge of the Cathedral Square in Pisa, Italy.
"Campo Santo" can be literally translated as "holy field", because it is said to have been built around a shipload of sacred soil from Golgotha, brought back to Pisa from the Fourth Crusade by Ubaldo de' Lanfranchi, archbishop of Pisa in the 12th century. A legend claims that bodies buried in that ground will rot in just 24 hours. The burial ground lies over the ruins of the old baptistery of the church of Santa Reparata, the church that once stood where the cathedral now stands.

Here a list of Top Ten most expensive Military Vehicles in the world

1. USS Gerald Ford – $13 billion

The most expensive military vehicle in the world is the USS Gerald Ford, an aircraft carrier that is 1,106 feet long and nearly undetectable by radar. This monolithic marvel is capable of launching 220 sorties per day from dual runways and will be populated by 5,000 people, including 4,000 marines and sailors.

2. HMS Queen Elizabeth – $9.3 billion

The HMS Queen Elizabeth will be the United Kingdom’s biggest warship, measuring 918 feet in length and  229 feet wide with a capacity of 1,600 personnel. This 65,000 ton aircraft carrier will have a range of up to 10,000 nautical miles without needing to refuel.

3. DDG 1000 Zumwalt-Class Destroyer – $7 billion

The initial costs of the DDG 1000 Zumwalt-Class destroyer, a stealth warship designed to sneak past defenses before releasing a huge payload, were estimated to be $3.8 billion dollars. However, the cost of this highly-advanced warship skyrocketed as the U.S. Navy jammed the ship full of the latest in technological advances. Reportedly, this boat appears no bigger than a fishing boat on enemy radars.

4. HMS Astute – $5.5 billion

The Royal Navy’s HMS Astute is a Nimitz class submarine that recently became stuck off the coast of Scotland after running aground during the transfer of troops to shore. Unfortunately, despite harboring a nuclear engine capable of propelling the HMS Astute at 30 knots, a fleet of tugs and tow boats had to be called to get the advanced warship out of its hilarious predicament.

5. Charles de Gaulle Aircraft Carrier- $4 billion

A controversial project that lasted decades and blew budgets, France’s Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier was originally commissioned in 1986 and was only recently put into action after a slew of problems that are still being worked on as of current publication. It is the first French aircraft to be nuclear-powered.

6. USS America – $3.4 billion

The USS America is an LHA 6 America-class amphibious assault vessel and one of the newest warships of the United States Navy. Propelled by a gas fuelled turbine system, the operational range of the USS America is 11,000 nautical miles at 16 knots and 22,000 miles at a pace of 12.5 knots. This warship carries up to 34 planes, 10 of which are strike aircraft, all fitting on a 86,000 square-foot flight deck.

7. Virginia Class Submarine – $2.5 billion

This is a new class of attack submarine developed for multiple missions, stealth, shallow water and deep water combat. The Virginia Class vessel is powered by a nuclear reactor and includes four torpedo tubes and 12 vertical missile launchers, capable of launching up to 16 cruise missiles in a single burst.

8. Varyag Aircraft Carrier – $2.4 billion

When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the rights to the Varyag, which was only 70% complete, were transferred to Ukraine. Incredibly, it was then sold to a Chinese travel agency for only $20 million, without an engine or rudder.

9. B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber – $2.4 billion

The B-2 Spirit is a long range bomber capable of surviving extended missions under considerable duress. This aircraft’s skin is designed to capture radar signals and protects against radiation in case of nuclear attack.

10. INS Vikramaditya – $2.35 billion

The INS Vikramaditya is a modified Kiev-class aircraft carrier purchased by India’s military from Russia’s military-industrial complex. Costs for the purchase were inflated when the Russians demanded more money, as India made it clear how committed they were to securing the vehicle.

3. Untitled #96 by Cindy Sherman
Untitled #96 is a photograph made by American visual artist Cindy Sherman in 1981.In 2011, a print was auctioned for $3.89 million, making it the most expensive photograph ever sold at that time.It has since been surpassed by Rhein II.A sort of kitschy orange suffuses ''Untitled No. 96,'' in which Ms. Sherman lies dreamily on a linoleum floor in a sweater and skirt, a thirty-something single clutching a ''Personals'' ad torn from a newspaper.

4. Dead Troops Talk by Jeff Wall
A 1992 photomontage by Canadian photographer Jeff Wall, Dead Troops Talk (A Vision after an Ambush of a Red Army Patrol, near Moqor, Afghanistan, Winter 1986), has fetched more than $3.6 million at auction. Golly.

The photograph is a chromogenic color print or c-print. It is a two-part work, also called a diptych. There were 6 sets made and mounted on acrylic glass. The work became famous as being the most expensive photograph in the world when it was auctioned at Sotheby's on February 7 in 2007 for a price of US$3.34 million.

The Pond—Moonlight is an early photograph created by manually applying light-sensitive gums giving the final print more than one color.nly three known versions of the Pond-Moonlight are still in existence and, as a result of the hand-layering of the gums, each is unique.
